Citrus County Amateur Radio club is dedicated to providing a group environment for those interested in this rewarding hobby. Having a "license" is not a requirement, just a desire to know more about "ham radio."
Classes oriented towards obtaining an Amateur Radio License are presented at various times. The required FCC examination is also provided at completion of instruction. Check this website often for scheduling, as this changes as necessary.

SEVERE WEATHER SPOTTER CLASS"CERT"
Community Emergency Response Team
CERT training takes 9 weeks ( 1 Night /week ). You learn search and rescue, basic first aid, AED and CPR, Fire academy-using fire extinguisher and other valuable info to help you and your family survive a disaster. The Citrus County website is www.citruscountycert.org There is also a Sugarmill Woods website www.smwcert.org . The county is broken into 4 quadrants. There are 52 amateur radio operators in the county and 21 operators in the Southwest Quadrant (Sugarmill Woods area. More participants would be greatly appreciated.
